'Lord it up in your very own castle'
says Brides magazine in its round up of Britain's 100 hottest places to be married in both 2008 & 2009.
Augill Castle is big enough to feel grand but still small enough to be intimate and makes the perfect venue for a relaxed, extended wedding celebration. The castle can be exclusively yours, is licensed to hold civil marriages and has been described as one of the country’s top ten most romantic houses.
Weddings for up to forty can dine banquet style along two eighteen foot oak refectory tables and smaller groups (up to 22) eat together around one huge dining table. In any event, with eleven bedrooms there is space for twenty-eight overnight guests.
There is no formula; no set packages. Each event at Augill Castle is as unique as the setting itself. You plan your day, plan your menu, decide on timings and it happens.
Rates are transparent and include all the basic elements you need to make your celebration perfect. We even include a full planning service. There are no hidden extras. The only necessaries not included are your bar and wine bill but there are options to take the sting out of those too!

Accommodation
Augill Castle has fourteen bedrooms or family suites, all of an equal standard but each with a very different character. Some have four poster beds, others four poster baths. There are turrets for wardrobes, stained glass windows and big views. All our bedrooms are decorated with bold colours and furnished with antiques. There's certainly no chintz but you won't find safe modern interiors with lots of beige, cream and black here either. This is a real country house, not a country house hotel mock up...

Food & Drink
As with all good country houses, the Dining Room is at the heart of the castle and many a new friendship has been made around the castle's oak dining table. We don't pretend to offer a fine dining experience, rather the sort of food you'd probably like to cook at home if you had the time. For more information please click here
